Texas Holdem Secrets #1
The first secret has to do with how to beat anyone. Now, every style is different but every style has a weakness. The weakness is always slightly opposite of the style. Not exactly opposite, just slightly. I'll explain.
If someone is player super tight, you can beat him by playing a little looser. If someone is super loose, you can beat him by playing a little tighter than him.
If someone is playing very tight and you play too loose, you will lose. Likewise, if someone is playing very loose and you play too tight, you will lose.
Do you get what I mean? It's the opposite, but not 100% opposite just like 60% opposite.
Texas Holdem Secrets #2
Another secret to increase your chances of winning exponentially is to always play pre-flop the same way. That is, always bet the same amount whatever cards you have.
When you bet big with pocket aces and limp in with suited connectors, you are showing the strength of your hand. This is a big no-no.
You should raise out with the same amount no matter what your cards. Raise out the same with pocket kings as you do with pocket sevens. Raise out the same if you are under the gun or if you are in last position. No one will ever be able to figure out what cards you have before the flop.
Texas Holdem Secrets #3
A secret to never ever losing in a tournament is a little rule that I like to use. It is this:
Never ever all-in, or call an all-in, against a player with a bigger stack than you.
This works very well because if you never all-in against a player with more chips than you you will never be out if you lose. Never ever take a risk all-ining a player if he has more chips than you and you will never get dropped out of a tournament sooner than expected.
